Catherine Street Fire Station
A consequential building in Jacksonville, the Catherine Street Fire Station was initially found at fourteen Catherine Street but was moved to Urban Park. This building now homes a fire museum now called the "Jacksonville Fire Museum". This building is amongst the oldest historic buildings in Jacksonville, all the way back to the late 1700s. Summer tours are available through all summer months, so be sure not to miss out!
Edwin M. Stanton School
The high school is located at 521 Ashley Street in the center of downtown Jacksonville. The school is said to be a countrywide landmark and was added to the U.S. Countrywide Register of Historical Places in 1983. The modern inheritor of the high school is the Stanton School Preparatory College.
"Tours of Freedom Trail"
This actual trail has been teaching travelers and the community on civil rights history that lies in the city and to generate funds for emerging activities. The tutorial 90 minute tour will include sites where some of the widely known civil rights activities had taken place. The admission price for adults is $15 and kids can tour the facility for $7.
Jack Nicklaus Exhibition
This exhibition is another historic place of interest. The World Golf Hall-Of-Fame will expose some new artifacts. Items on view include the set of Mac Gregor irons that were used at the 1986 Pros. Lots of the first artifacts will be on view for the successive 1/4. The artifacts are at present on loan from the Jack Nicklaus Museum at the "Ohio State University".

Prairie and Land Heritage Museum is located at the corner of Michigan and Lincoln Avenue's. The museum is of historic interest down to the proven fact that it shows off some of the smaller household and farming items from past times and present. In addition, the museum also can include a section on farm hardware, car hardware as well as an vet office and lots more. This significant site is open during fall vacation days as well as the last full weekend in September. Entrance to the Prairie & Land Heritage Land Museum is generally free.
