What To View A Local Legend In Loch Ness

Up in the Highlands of Scotland visitors flock each year to the beauty and the magic which surrounds the area. Flights from around the UK or Europe can land at two of the airports in the north known as Aberdeen and Inverness. Just a short drive south will lead you to the Loch which everyone loves talking about and that is Loch Ness.

Did you know that a lake is known as a loch in Scotland with the best one of all known across the globe as Nessie or Loch Ness. When you head down the A82 from Inverness you will come across the most spectacular scenery of any country around the world.

Driving your rental car along the loch will normally take just a little over 1 hour this is of course with out stopping for photos in which case you will be a little longer. Why would you not stop and take photos of this once in a life time route of sheer beauty. Stooping off at Drummadrochit is around half way down the loch and is a perfect spot to stop over for lunch.

Anyone who is interested in historic castles can view both Urquhart and Inverness up on the hills surrounded by stunning landscape and awe inspiring views of the Scottish countryside.

Both castles are stunning ruins of a by gone age and take president in the hills overlooking the loch. Looking down from the castle you will be able see straight into the water and if legend has it you may be able to view ripple effects which could be the monster stirring.

The final stop of the loch is a place called Fort Augustus which is busy with the day cruises along the shores of the Loch packed with visitors all waiting to catch a glimpse of Nessie.
