If you are thinking about how to maximize the fun times now that the weather is good, your best bet is to try fun outdoor activities. If you are more of the calm and laid back type, then you might enjoy growing flowers in your backyard or having a picnic. But, if you prefer to get all sweaty and work all those muscles and joints, you might want to try out the newest trend which is tactical paintball.

Paintball is a growing sport that more and more people are starting to love. From the first game way back in 1981 up to the present times, the popularity of the sport has reached out to over 25 countries, including the United States. The sport is basically a game of tag where people shoot paint at each other from special guns. The aim of the game is to eliminate all sixteen members of opposing team by leaving upon their tactical paintball gear paint marks that are roughly the size of a quarter or larger.

This sport will also help you develop skills like quick thinking and planning. You have to plan how to bring down as many opponents as you can without bringing yourself down as well. You will also master team effort and cooperation as your team works as a large unit in order to become victorious. Sportsmanship is also learned as you accept each defeat with grace.

If you think that this is indeed the sport for you, then you will have to arm yourself with equipment every player needs. First off, you need a gun. And no, not any gun but a paintball gun.

When you have already gotten hold of a gun, this is practically useless without the bullets or paint balls. Paint balls come in different sizes, but most common ones have a dimension of 17.3 millimeters or . 68 caliber. Paint markers and barrels range from . 67 caliber to . 71 caliber.

Next stop is the mask and a helmet. Choose a mask with a thermal lens feature. This prevents the mask from fogging which may be detrimental in good gaming. Get yourself a sturdy helmet that fits your head snugly. Remember, these protect your face and head as you avoid raging paint balls, so quality is a must.

While most sporting goods offer special ensembles, there is actually no standard clothing for this game. The only requirement is to wear loose fitting ones that are tough enough to withstand all that action. Some people wear camouflage, but in more casual games your usual shirt and jeans are okay.

A vest is also essential. You can get a protective kind which will decrease the impact of a shot, so that you will feel less pain every time you get hit. Or, if you can not part away with your phone and wallet while playing, you can get those types which are laden with pockets.

In playing, safety is a key factor. Make sure you equip yourself with quality gears to avoid accidents that can prove to be fatal. There are a lot of good brands if you have it in your budget to purchase brand new ones. If not, you can always buy secondhand ones or rent it out whenever you feel like playing.
