Trips Out With The Family Advice

By Poppy Hill

Packing for a day trip outdoors with your family is a fab idea but do any of us know what to pack? Often we pack only a few things which we believe will come in handy. Either that or we take the kitchen sink ever hopeful that we have not forgotten anything.

Toys are a must with any car journey. Pack the car with their favourite toys and you can use them when you are in the car or at lunch or even when you are setting up the picnic table before you eat. The car journey games do become boring after a while like Old MacDonald etc. Pack some colouring books or books or toys as the electronic games may lose their battery life in the car.

The best and most important things to remember to pack are food and drink supplies to keep you going through out the day. Snacks can be in any form with crisps, nuts, dips to keep you going or fruit if you have a cool bag you have access to and bring with you. There are all sorts of different foods which are ideal for bringing with you in a picnic.

You never know when the children will fall or need a change of clothes on your day trip. Please remember and pack some items which will see you through the day such as wipes to clean up any mess, bags to place any rubbish or dirty clothes in. Nappy bags to take any soiled nappies with you and place in a bin before you head over to the car. Remember and pack also your little bottle of hand gel to wash all the germs away without the need for hot water. Most importantly pack your first aid kit.

Last but not least a change of clothes. This is essential when travelling with children as they are always spilling drinks down themselves no matter what age they are. Streams appear to attract the kids like magnetic and undoubtedly they fall in and are soaked through to the skin.

Tips which I hope you would like to follow and add any of your ideas.
